a lb loss shakily achieved almost a month ago but then I bounced back up 3 lbs. But I had been constantly snacking there for a while, eating bread and indulging once in a while in a dessert, not recording calories but probably6 averaging about 1400 calories which at my age and with my lack of exercise came out to just be maintenance. Now that I am limiting eating to between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., watching empty calories, and trying to stay under 900 I am making progress. Upward and onward doesn't mean getting fatter but getting as healthy as I can be at my age. 138 is no sylph-like weight, but it's not overweight, which i have been for decades--actually I should have said, obese.

weight 146.4. Not eating after 4, a small salad with lunch and dinner, calories under 900. Maybe 144 by end of month. I need to get down to about 138 BMI 24.4. It should be a healthy weight, I believe. Apparently with Covid we need to be concerned about not just obesity but overweight. Still not exercising but days are getting longer, warmer, dryer.

Saturday March 27, 2021 Weight 145.6. I really have to work to keep that down. I will run by Freds on my way to Mary's house, buy steak, strawberries, fresh salad so that I can stick to the lean and green diet while I baby sit. I wonder what veggies my grand sonand granddaughter might need. I will call after I get ready to go and find out.

The plateau after one year of dieting, I got to 146 in January 2021, after starting this diet January 8, 2020 and it's taken until March 25 to get down to 145.I had lost from 188 to 146 then just stalled out. Reasons: little exercise, diet fatigue, snacking, and inability to stick to day's plan of eating. Occasional indulgence in simple carbs, bread, rice etc, has not helped.
My goal of 142 is onl 3 lbs away

March 12, 2021 Still trying to avoid snacks and keeping calories under 1000. Still need to begin regular exercise. Second covid shot (I am 79) coming up soon and I hope to be able to get back to some kind of work. Of course I would love to return to the firm where I was employed since 1992 but if that doesn't work out, I am capable of being a receptionist elsewhere or possibly substitute teacher again. I have helped with special Ed classes before and maybe I can get enough work that way to fill in the financial gap. My novels are mildly interesting but not in a popular genre. Maybe something can be made of them as publications on Amazon. Anyway time think of getting back to work.
Losing 50 lbs off a 5 ft 3 inch frame has been very helpful for agility and energy level. I have another 10 to go which will cause my face to develop a lot of wrinkles but that does smooth out somewhat when you plateau as I have for hte past three months. Hopefully I can work a few more years.
