4th day. Half way through, and it did not go so great. I was doing good, but by dinner my step dad wanted me to get McDonald's to eat because we didn't have any food at the house (my and my sisters had been out shopping, no big deal). So I ate the McChicken without bread, mayo, or lettuce. Just plain meat. It was still about 10 carbs though... I forgot the meat was breaded :/. And we had a birthday party for my neighbor, so I ate one cupcake. It was so awful! I feel like I failed today. The half way day is supposed to be the day when you conquer your new diet. Not for me today, I guess. I will try harder tomorrow...only eating about 8 carbs. I need this weight to come off, and I need to work harder. I think I'm gonna start going to the gym to help speed up the process. We will see when I get my work schedule. Hard to stay positive, but I want to be fit sooo bad. So, tomorrow I'm gonna eat less and kick this diet's butt!

Day 3. Most tired I've been so far... I'm really hopping this just means my body is adjusting to my new diet. Haven't seen any results yet, but it is still early. On a positive note, I am becoming less and less hungry everyday! Even eating a big carb loaded breakfast, I would be hungry again in like 2 class period. But now, I get hungry right at lunch time (the same time I eat lunch, everyday.) Because this diet is so strict and scheduled, I think my body is starting to know when and when not to expect food. Yay! I had an Atkins dessert bar (the coconut kind) and it kicked my sugar cravings. But, the cravings have been becoming weaker and weaker. I'm starting to feel in control of my body again, and I really like that. Just wish I could see results soon!! Tomorrow is the half way point for my first week... I'm very proud of myself! I've never stuck to a diet so strictly before, so this is a big accomplishment for me. Cheer practice is tonight, so I'm gonna do my first exercise! Here we goooooooo!

2nd day! Seemed a lot harder than yesterday. I got HUGE sugar cravings, and felt pretty tired and groggy all day. Of course, it didn't help that I had work tonight...which was awful since I was already tired. My stomach is growling right now, but I can't really eat anything else. However, to be honest, I kinda like it...it makes me feel in control. I feel like I'm the one who gets to decide my weight, and not the food I eat. Friday/Saturday is the half way point for Week 1 of the Induction Phase of Atkins. They say if you can get half way through, you can do it. Tuesday will be my first weigh-in, and also the half way point through the 2 weeks. I haven't seen a huge difference yet, but it is only my 2nd day. I hope to see good results Tuesday when I weigh-in. Fingers crossed!

This is my first day! Went pretty well overall. Got a headache after lunch...think it might be my body adjusting, or just being plain hungry. I got some almonds to snack on, so that'll help! I plan on weighing in a week from now...that will on Tuesday, April 9. My goal is to hopefully be about 5-7lbs less than I am now...so, about 140 (fingers crossed!) The Atkins diet promises results, so I hope I see them! My biggest challenge so far is finding a variety of foods to eat that are low-carb, and not too expensive. I bought Atkins Meal Bars, and it was pretty pricey! So were the breakfast shakes! But I think it will be worth it all in the long run. Bikini season is coming soon, and I gotta be ready! Here's to a great start, and keeping determined to finish it out strong! <3
