steady weight

I had an episode of hypoglycemia this evening. BG got down to 62. The combination of Glipizide, low carb, and exercise seems to be too much. I guess that's a good thing! Because I plan to keep the low carb and exercise and strike Glipizide off my meds list. Luckily, I started carrying glucose tabs in my bag about 6 weeks ago (when I changed over to low carb). But, as a food addict, I hate having to put sugar into my body in any form. That's why I carry the yucky tabs, instead of candy -- so that I'll view it as necessary medicine.
Was hoping to speak with doctor about getting rid of the Glipizide when I go in for my HbA1c blood draw in 3 weeks. Now I plan to call and speak with her tomorrow. Not messing around with this. Until then, easing back on the intensity level of exercise and upping my carbs just a tiny bit, as insurance, as well as continuing the frequent BG monitoring.
I am so happy that my body is responding to the changes I am making. This 1 pound increase on the scale (which I'm attributing to a new exercise program and high sodium day yesterday) means nothing compared to the knowledge that I am taking charge of my health!

That slow-moving weight loss ticker was bringing me down. I realized that setting my final goal weight as my goal here on FS makes me feel like I will never get out of the red zone. After reevaluating, I decided to revise my current goal to 259 -- a little over 10% loss from my start weight. Now I can see some progress with each weigh-in :)
