Did a little better on calories yesterday - “only” 1,751. I had been doing 2,500-3,300 a day! Made Chocolate Chunk Muffins for my husband and the widows at church and didn’t eat any myself. I didn’t put pecans in them, which made them a little easier to resist (but I discovered last time that I can just eat a whole pecan with each bite of muffin). So it did still take some willpower.
Toe still swollen and tender after 9-1/2 weeks! I can walk fine, but not great lengths, or it swells even more.
Been eating lots of summer fruits: watermelon🍉, honeydew🍈, cantaloupe, peaches🍑, nectarines, grapes🍇, pineapple🍍, and navel oranges🍊. I made a giant fruit salad. I’ve been eating it without the yummy fruit dip I made for the rest of the family. I ate that last week, but not over the weekend or yesterday. I’m right on the verge of having heartburn again. I used to have it really bad when I weighed 300 pounds, but it completely went away after I had lost about 50. Yesterday, I topped the scale at over 205 pounds! Forgot to weigh before I just ate some fruit.

Things haven’t been going well. I’m now back over 200 pounds! I wish I hadn’t had the toe surgery. Not being able to walk 6 miles has really taken a toll on me. It was during TV those walks that I did all my motivational stuff. I was burning 700+ calories a day, and I was making reasonable food choices. I’ve been out of control. This past week, I’ve also been drinking SWEET tea. I’ve decided to STOP making that “for my husband” because I end up drinking about 300 calories a day in tea. Bladder surgery is tomorrow. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight tonight, and my surgery isn’t until 1pm. I’ll die of thirst! Still practicing piano most days, and still no diet soda. Those are really the only things I’m doing right.

Hi everyone! I’m still here. I went back to the podiatrist after 7 weeks of continued pain and swelling in my surgical toe. He said it takes 12 weeks for a break to heal. It’s not TOO bad unless I try to do my walking - then it gets really swollen. Having bladder surgery next week. Getting a sacral nerve stimulator thing temporarily taped to my back with the wires surgically hooked up to my bladder. If it works, they’ll implant the device in my back. Weight still holding just under 200 pounds. Lots of indulgences lately, but doing better so far today (1:43). Still no soda. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables. Not much protein, though. That’s about everything.
