Dropped my carbs and bit and upped my fat since I'm not doing any high intensity exercising at this point. I hope to start some pool exercises to try to get my cardio system back up without hurting my abdomen.
Have a great day everybody!

I'm not sure all of the post-op swelling is gone yet. It could be that or fat gain from overeating and lack of movement. Still trying to fully recover.

It's been 4 days since my surgery. It's been tough, I didn't realize how invasive the surgery is. At least I'm allowed to shower now. My diet has been off and I'm still swollen so my weight is way up. Doc says it may take another week for the full effects of the anesthesia to wear off. Also it may be 3-4 weeks before I'm off restrictions. For now I'm going to focus on healing and listen to what my body is telling me. I'll get my eating back on track soon enough.
Have a great weekend everybody!

My gallbladder surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I have to say I'm a little nervous and have been stress eating some. Been over my calorie limit the past few days due to the crappy diet they recommended. It has actually helped with the pain but it's a "bland" diet high in highly processed carbs which leads to me overeating. I did try to eat a couple of apples the other day and that was a mistake. I'll get back on track as my body allows me. I'll deal with the sudden weight gain (glycogen and water) after I recover. For now it's more important to control the pain and minimize pain medication.
Calorie intake and consistency are the key factors to weight loss and maintenance.
Hoping everybody has a great day!

I've been doing a lot of reading on nutrition and dieting. This included studies, blogs, videos, tweets and reddit. There is a lot of information out there, mostly unsupported.
My cut ended up being a recomp. Oh well. I have been fighting gastric issues for the past couple of months mistaking pain for hunger which has lead to some binges. I finally found out the issue yesterday in the ER. I have gall stones and need to have my gall bladder removed. Oh what fun!
The results of my latest efforts have been a weight increase while decreasing my measured bodyfat to under 14.5% based on 7 point readings. So I have to say it was a good recomp. I've been debating posting my progress photos. Below are the photos for what it's worth.
For now I need to eat a bland diet. I'm going to try to just maintain weight as I won't be able to be too active.
I hope everyone has a great day and weekend!
