Being heavy my whole life, I graduated college at 310 pounds or so. At only 21. It wasn't a life I wanted and one day, something snapped and I changed my life. I hired a trainer, a nutritionist, and lost 120 pounds in three years. In those years I met my now-husband and we've led a pretty healthy lifestyle. Two back-to-back pregnancies in which I gained 70-80 pounds each time, left my body ragged and destroyed.
My son will be two in July and it's time I've been trying to get rid of these last 30-40 pounds since he was born. WW no longer worked for me, and I am tired of being hungry all the time. After researching a LC lifestyle as a way to help treat my PCOS and subsequent insulin resistance, I have decided to stop dieting and start living the way our bodies were intended to function.
I'm very active - boxing, bicycling, jogging - and hope that this way of life helps me get off the extra forty pounds and makes me the healthiest I can be!
