Time to face the music! I weighed in to see just how bad the gain would be and actually I thought it might be worse. The past 3 weeks have revolved around family & class reunions, our town's 125th celebration, followed by vacation.
Now it is back to work on getting back to healthier eating. And also back to work which is alway ugly after being away. But I'm not going to let job stress get me down - it's just not worth it (especially when we haven't seen a raise for 2 yrs). I've found that journaling on this site actually helps me handle the stress in my life. So it doesn't look like there will be lunch break today but taking a few minutes for myself to journal and check in with my buddies helps me to stay grounded before my next appt with a student.
I had a wonderful vacation and wonderful weekend bike riding with friends and spending time with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson! I went out for another bike ride yesterday and rode a 30 mile loop that is very scenic (translated that means hilly!. This was part of the same route we did on Saturday. The difference was that on Saturday it was near 100 degrees with a dew point in the 70's. Yesterday after a front came through there was a pleasant cool NW breeze with temps in the low 80's - it was wonderful!
