Thats one of the main things my mama feed me when I was growing up we can't help but to love these foods it was probably all the feelings that you described you are much braver than I am I couldn't imagine throwing away a jar of peanut butter I love peanut butter to much but you did what you thought was right for you and I applaud you for that good job

Yes, there are "red light" foods for me too that I must avoid. Nacho Cheese Doritos

Yes, I hear that about the peanut butter. It's my favorite cheat food right out of the jar with a spoon. The only reason I keep it is I make PB cookies with it for my BF. But I need to stop! Good for you! Have a great day LIV!

ok that inspires me.... i'm going to start looking around for what my temptations are so I can make a painful decision too. DISCIPLINE is not easily won, but the rewards are just as rare . Discipline is what separates the beautiful thin people from the fat people who never met a calorie they couldn't turn down!

I once made a Mexican coffee flan to take to a get together with friends who almost all are obese and/or diabetic. I tasted it when it was done and slapped myself and did a nutritional analysis. I threw the whole thing away. I just could not bring myself to contribute to their issues. Took fresh fruit instead.

leagalize...I obviously lack discipline when it comes to some food. it is the truth unfortunately. I need to use my brain power and not my will power... I lack willpower.

Single use pack is a good suggestion. I think when I need some (for a satay or cookies) I will make it myself... that way it will be very limited. Bree I can eat it... I just cannot stop eating it...

not a defeat at all. I would have filtered it through my digestive system before throwing it away. so your stronger than I.

I'm like that with some things and I do the same thing - I just throw it out before I eat it all. With peanut butter I can usually stick to the 2 tablespoons it takes to make half a sandwich.

I LOVE PB and nuts in general. It’s a struggle because they’re so high in calories. The PB2 powder is natural and minus the natural oils so much lower in fat/calories. A decent way to have PB for toast or sandwiches that doesn’t gobble up so many of you our daily allotment👍🏻

I've had to do that myself. It's hard. Beautiful cake left from a party, Nutella, 2 dozen donuts left by a "friend" kinda thing. I always rationalize it by going through the math. Would I pay $20 to lose the 20lbs in that box? Usually the answer is yes. Not always though. Depends on the day.
