Well, I formally reached 220.0 pounds, yea! But I can't help but feel dismay regarding president trump's immigration ban by executive order. Since moving to Los Angeles my family has befriended Iranian – Persian emigre families- families of many nationalities who have immigrated from countries. Their sons spend weekend nights over at our house, yesterday even, One of our Chinese friends brought our son along to a Chinese New Year celebration down at the Grove in LA. My wife celebrated her brief respite as a single parent by joining thousands others at LAX protesting against Donald Trump. I applaud her display of constitutional right and responsibility. And I am troubled by what I am seeing from the administration. While I support reasonable immigration and screening, the haphazard implementation worries me. The justification excludes facts and is high on hyperbole, and more importantly, I think sews the seeds of homegrown extremism, while hurting families of innocent US citizens. I just remembered being A young student learning of the Jewish refugees in the 1930s being turned away from our shores and remembering my thoughts: "i'm so glad the United States is different today and that will never happen again".
Ahh, Youth and it's naïveté.
