I have had ups and downs. I was doing really good on weight watchers but got burnt out on trying to loose weight and gained 5lbs back. I just reverted right back to my old ways. I am starting out again. I really do want to lose weight and feel once I actually get the weight off I have a fighting chance to keep it off.
I find it really difficult to lose weight with kids and a husband. I have done it before but my husband loves to eat foods that just aren't easy for me to eat and his portion sizes are huge. Unfortunately I am a competitive eater so I do it to myself, but I see him eat and I eat.
Strategies:
Mindfulness! I need to be mindful of what I am eating, the amount and what it actually taste like. I forced myself to do this on a vacation recently and it helped. I just made sure to taste each bite and quite eating if I was full or didn't enjoy it. I really felt that even though I wasn't eating specific things, I was enjoying what I was eating and not just eating everything I saw.
I know I have to re-evaluate my exercise. I don't exercise much at all. I am setting a goal of 30 min 5x a week to work out on the ecliptically. Its not much, but a start.
I also think I need to focus away just from weight and focus on health. I really want to be healthy. I am within a normal weight but just soft everywhere. I don't need to be rock hard, but I need to be healthy and physically active and eating well.

Sounds like a great plan that is a lifestyle, not a diet.

Thanks Horseshu1. It is a lifestyle I need to re-adopt. It's MUCH harder now with 2 kids and a husband, but just working on keeping the focus,
