Happy 20th Day, everyone. Tomorrow will be three weeks of fasting! I've only ever done that one other time in my life, and I was in my 20's, so 40+ years ago. Happy to see the scale go down by a pound this morning! Hope it will continue to go in that direction. With Wednesday's stall and gains on Tuesday and Friday, I was beginning to wonder what's going on - but, miraculously, I didn't get discouraged and just kept plowing ahead. Totally a God thing! In my own strength, I would have said, "Forget this! If I'm not losing, I'm EATING!"
This is the third day I've woken up with a sore throat. Probably an allergy thing since I've been outside so much. Virginia is a bad place to live if you have allergies, and I've been out of my Lorazidine for a couple of weeks, so that's probably the culprit. It should be arriving this week, though. In the interim, I'm gargling with salt water.
At yesterday's pool gathering (grandkids and twin friends), I made hot dogs, potato salad (store bought), assorted chips, and Little Bites (birthday cake, and chocolate chip flavors). It basically doesn't bother me at all to prepare food for others and to watch them eat it. Again, this is totally God!
Usually, while in the pool, I would drink up to a liter of Diet Coke. Yesterday, I drank three waters. But, I DID add in a couple of ounces of Diet Coke over the course of the day. Every time I accomplish something, I "reward" myself with a swallow of DC. I know it isn't good to reward yourself with food or drink, but I still do - just in much smaller quantities than before. Still successful on limiting to a 12-oz can, MOST of the time!
