Have you considered something like Dulcoease? It's a stool softer rather than a laxative, so it works over a few days instead of in a few hours. Assuming it's suitable for you, obviously

Yeah, I thought there was a high chance of them clashing. But most people I mention stool softeners to are surprised to find there's an alternative to laxatives so thought it might be worth a shot

Hi Frankie I've had a quick look and it doesn't say there is any interaction but I'm going to ask the pharmacist to be safe don't want to add to my problems. Thanks Jon
