At 6pm, 22 hours into a fast. I am determined to break this stupid yo-yo stall. If there was one thing I was once good at before loosing weight it was going without eating. I will win this war with the scale!

You've got more will power than me! I hate fasting - closest I get is the Atkins "fat fast" , which usually breaks my stalls.

Fasting is definitely an adjustment. I'm fine until hour 20 and then my minds play nasty tricks on me. I'm about to do my monthly 72 hour fast starting next monday. My bf laughs when I tell him their are phases of fasting you feel yourself go into..the I can smell everything phase, we have a running joke I can smell rice chex 6 miles down the road at walmart when im in those phase. Every slightest smell sets me off , then its the im wired phase and can't sit down phase,I now hit that phase around hour 36, so hour 20 to 36 are my tough spots, after day 3 I'm not hungry anymore, wired, and the whites of my eyes are bright white and then old injury aches happen. How long are you trying to hit eventually??? Im considering switching to a 4.3 If diet. tired of yo yoing to through the same 3 lbs for a month now.

kearamccardle, I only made it to 22 hours. I am not versed in longer fasting periods yet. It's on my "To Do" list! That is awesome that you can do 72 hour fasting periods, and that you know what to expect as you go through your stages. I'm hoping not to have to do longer fasts. I really like the IF fasting. I wish you the best!

Kearamccardle, I like the 16/8 IF that I do. Before I got myself in this overweight predicament , I would NOT eat all day, then eat a big dinner. That definitely wasn't the greatest decision to make. But... It used to work fine, when after each dinner I was hoping around on boulders and treking through the desert at 127lbs. LOL!
