If you are trying to lose weight, ditch the corn. That is how they fatten up hogs and cattle for slaughter. Corn.

Ellen she can eat the corn and still lose weight because she's having a small amount of it. You can eat whatever you want and lose weight, as long as you eat a small enough portion of it...

What is the orange beverage? I'm curious because it itself doesn't look low carb.

the drink could be fiber water, which is great for weight loss

Guys you should stop judging people for what they eat not everyone needs to be on a very low carb diet. I understand typically corn and juice isn't great for weight loss, but you also don't know if the juice and corn could be replacing worse things.

^^What @Nanaeda said. This constant, unrequested criticism of other people's personal choices is offensive and rude.

Looks delicious, don't worry about criticism, there are no inherently good or bad foods, it's really all about moderation. Enjoy!

If you post images of your food on a public forum, you're open to anyone's comments. I would not take it personally or offensively, but try to see how they are trying to help. Isn't that why we are here? Say what you think. After all, it is only your opinion.

When nutritionists say corn isn't great for you, they primarily mean corn products - think corn bread, polenta, tortillas or most especially corn syrup. Whole-ear corn is still a grain and has more carbs than most vegetables, sure, but it has a lot of fiber too. It's is perfectly fine! Especially in the kind of moderation seen here. Whole ears are a big improvement over kernel corn too, because you have to work for it!

I've heard a rumor that celery is carb negative.

It takes more energy to eat a stalk of celery than it has calories or carbs, especially after chewing up the strings to be able to swallow it.

This looks yum and well portioned. Curious though - why are folks posting pics of food? I seem to have missed how this started.....
