I had the same problem. I finally invested in a apron!

simple green or gojo hand soap... I probably wouldn't wash anything delicate with it, but it's what we construction guys use to get grease / oil out of our work pants and shirts.

Oxy Clean (powder) is a great product for stains. Rub some on the spots, then wash as normal. Hope this helps!

I pre-treat the grease stain with Dawn dish soap and wash as normal. Works for me!!

I've always just used a bar of bath soap on the spot, scrub a little bit, then put in laundry with the rest of my clothes to finish.

E-C has the right idea, simple and obvious as it may sound, easily overlooked!

I use an apron - I'm always splashing things on myself while I'm cooking. I have several very funny and cute ones.

Dab of Dawn dish soap or Persil liquid. Both work great.

I have used Dawn Dish soap, too.

Thanks all! I'm going to do a special rescue operation and see if I can fix some of the spotty shirts.

You have lots of great tips....dawn, spray ' wash, oxy, gojo...we've tried them all. Alot will depend on your fabric...on silky materials, I used to put a little baby powder to pull out the grease stain and then treat.

These are just cotton jersey. I work in juvenile detention facilities and wear a basic outfit everyday of jeans and tees. Duluth Trading - very practical.

I have 2 solutions: The first is a $0.98 bar of Fels Naptha. Moisten the bar, rub it on the stain, and toss in the washer. Done! I also make my own laundry detergent. Each 5 gallon bucket costs under $5 to make, and works better than any commercial detergent I've found. The second is something my mom taught me when I was a tot: As soon as you get home, change into your 'playclothes/lounge wear/comfies'. Since nobody but me sees them, I don't care what they look like. Paint stains, grease, mystery marks...LOL! I wear an apron all day at work, so, while I have them at home, I rarely wear one. It feels too much like work!

I use palmolive dish soap to pre-treat before washing. Seems like most dish soap does the trick. I've used it for years and years - always works

Try the S2O Laundry Sheets. It is a plant based product and easily removed grease stains, even set in ones that had gone through the dryer. I love them! If you go to HSN.com and do a search, you can watch their demo video and order them there. Easy peasy!
