If you weigh daily, its pretty normal to see ups and downs. That's why many weigh weekly instead. Stick with it. Up your protein and fiber. Stay hydrated (flushes out sodium). Kick up your activity level. You just have to commit and push through it. Hopefully, you will drop a couple pounds in the next couple of days.

Thanks. I know I should weigh in weekly, but i'm almost addicted to it. I ate a pickle or two yesterday and my fingers feel swollen...it could be a ton of salt holding onto that water. Ive been dieting almost 2 months ( a month unrecorded) and I haven't lost much. its just disappointing. thank you for the positive feedback though, it makes a difference when I wanna give up!

I too weigh daily. Addicting... as is seeing my step numbers climbing on my garmin vivofit. They are sad today, I have the contractor hear early and hubby off to the warehouse to work so I will walk later. I plan on 3 miles and my daughter has agreed to walk with me. We will see if she still wants to later LOL. If you are salt sensitive make sure you get plenty of H2O to flush it out or watch the intake of Salt. Also may want to watch your BP if the salt is a serious factor. Check with your Dr is you think it is. For the first time in a long time I was at the DR and my BP was no longer moderate but not high enough for meds yet zone of 140s/80s+ yesterday it was 126/62. It was an awesome feeling and he said it was due to not only weight loss and diet but activity as well. Everything plays a part. Also, if you are working out daily muscle gain can be a factor as can water retention in the muscles as they heal from a strenuous lifting workout. Today I took my actual measurements (biceps, forearms, bust/chest, waist, hips, thighs, knees, and calves) for the first time and I am going to track them monthly. I am hoping I like the numbers I see as I do this.

Mine goes up down up down, too. So frustrating when I feel like I've been trying hard. Keep up the good work, Holly.

My kids walked with me yesterday, but not at the pace I want! oh well, at least I could go, right?
Ive been noticing that my legs and arms feel slimmer...that's a plus, right? Ive been wearing shorts for the first time in years. that's the positive part...the scale has such an impact on me, it sucks! I was hoping to be down at least 10 lbs by the 18th for my friends wedding...fat chance of that! its hard to stop thinking about the dumb scale. maybe I should track my meqasurements too-I use the wii fit thing.

don't strss over the scale. Don'tlet it rule over you. If yuo're losing inches and your clothes are fitting better, that's what counts. I'm 9lbs heavier than I was 10 yrs ago but I'm finally bak in the same size as I was 10 yrs ago. My weight goal wa 135 but that may change because Im more fit now than I was then

I know it's a trite thing to say, but if you are confident that your calorie counts are correct, and you are burning more calories than you are eating, then you will lose fat. Lately I've been weighing daily to make sure I have a calorie deficit, and let me tell you, it's an emotional ping pong ball. I'll be so relieved to go back to weekly weigh ins next week. Stay on track and don't give up. Like everyone says, drink enough water. I know that you will be successful.

Some people on here do a weekly weight average (thanks deb N) weigh yourself daily, everyday of the week then devide by 7. That way you'll see if your overall weekly weights are going up, down or staying the same.
