Started the day off great, decided to eat a bit more than just my apple as planned. From this point on I'm either buying natural peanut butter or I'm going without, that stuff has way too many ingredients that I don't agree with *darn you Skippy!!* Odds are, I'll play it cheap and skip the whole PB&J scene altogether.

Lunch was non-existent even though I was tempted several time to revert to my evil friend the vending machine for a snack. Fortunately for my body and myself, my wallet harbored a wealthy sum of 39cents, not even enough to purchase those tiny packs of gum on the bottom rung. I have this agreement with myself (or was it my bank account?) that if the only mode of currency I had on me was my debit/credit card, food was a no-go. This has helped me avoid many deliciously devilish escapades, so I'm continuing this habit.

I did try a new vegetable today, something I've been itching to make into a weekly routine. I must say, Purple Potatoes are AMAZING! My absolute new favorite thing to eat, if only I could find them.

Home. Yes, that's where all the trouble lurks. The cupboards bursting with goodies, lovingly stuffed by my father who defines love as buying his girls our favorite sweets, sugary cereals, and iced yum-yums. I managed to avoid complete disaster when I thought hard about my stomach. Was I hungry? Surprisingly, no. So, I listened to my body, not my lecherous eyes. Layed out in the sun, studied nursing notes.

Dinner = FAIL. Italian families cook, and they cook good. Pasta, red sauce, melted provolone on bread. Carb-tastic my friends. I fall for it everytime. 4 pieces of bread and some pasta later, I'm feeling the regret which I try to ameliorate with plain spinach/cucumber salad to no avail. Left for the gym soon after digestion to ease my guilty conscience. Tomorrow = no Simple CARBS!! and water, Water, WATER.
