SPRING CUT - DAY 21 40 Hours "Fasted"
Logged my first fasting violation around 0130. The circumstances are so crazy that I don't even care that I broke my 14 day streak or that the scale is stalled despite declining daily intake and increasing activity. I was doing the whole wacko fasting dreaming thing again and cognizant within the dream. By this I mean that I was aware that I was dreaming and had some agency for my actions within the dream. It's fuzzy, but I was sitting around a table with a bunch of folks, identities unclear, and I wanted to leave. Specifically, I wanted to leave tend to something in the kitchen. I was struggling to just get up and walk away when I somehow realized that I could, or maybe had to, sing myself awake. So I did. The people I was with protested, but I persisted in singing this weird sort of atonal thing until I literally awoke. Unsure as to whether I was actually "singing" IRL or just within the dream. Woke to a house full of the smell of cilantro lime pork shoulder. When I go to the kitchen, sure enough it needed a flip in the crock pot to cook evenly. Shit was delicious. Ate about an ounce. Totally sated by 100 calories. Right back to the dreamscape.
Visibly leaner despite the scale's recalcitrance. I have long since given up hope for linear losses. Sun's out this morning and with the light just right and a hard squint, I could sell myself on the first peek of Spring abs at weigh-in.
Feeling great this morning. Super rested. Strong flux taste; easily overpowers black coffee. Fat still warm to the touch. Eating myself for breakfast...
Broke down and scrubbed the range and hood and about a third of the kitchen. I've got to get more diligent about staffing shit out. Pop's bath lady has been a home run.
Cooked up about 18# of pork shoulder, and prepped 5# of chicken thighs for the grill for later in the week. Have about 5# of marinating hangar steak left from last week plus the last 4 big ribeyes from the whole rib I've been eating all cut, seasoned and fridge "dry aging". That'll should get us through the week. Need to whip up a batch of pie crust and a quiche for Pop, so he has something he can self serve.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
