I have decided to cut out aspartame and sucralose all together, but i didn't realize how many products use them as sweeteners. Also I have a killer withdrawal headache. But this reinforces my stand on chemically made sweeteners. My body doesn't want them.

Your comment is very interesting. I made a decision to stop having diet pop because of all the flack I was hearing about artificial sweeteners. Targeting pop was an easy and obvious thing to do, but now you have me thinking where else am I eating these artificial sweeteners. Maybe I can explain my irritability on withdrawal....hmmmmm. Well maybe on dieting in general anyway. Ended up switching to water, no calories and I needed more water intake anyway. Anyway, good on you for your decision.

My problem with the sweeteners actually came from water, I was using the crystal light style water additives. Almost anything sugar free has them, I was looking at some fruit juice in my fridge and aspartame was like the fourth ingredient. It will be a pain to avoid them all together but I think it will be worth it for me. I recently read studies that showed aspartame and sucralose can cause weight gain (and a harder time loosing weight) as well as hormone imbalances (the main problem women with PCOS..like me..face)
Im glad my post was able to make you think about your habits a little more :) Good Luck!

That is a very wise but hard decision. Hard because it will be difficult to find things without the artificial sweeteners. I also have issue with any artificial sweeteners they give me headaches and can make me sick to my stomach. Your weight lose history is fantastic. I am glad that it is coming off so nicely for you. Love you
