Weird weigh in. This is why i should not eat dinner after 7pm. Also need been stopped up for two days...that may also be a reason. More later...
Morning Update:
As I was riding the train, I was trying to rationalize what it was that caused the bounce up this morning. I think its a few things, the chicken and Broccoli I ate yesterday probably had a high sodium count so I probably retained a lot of water. Additionally, I noticed yesterday, that I was a little bit more muscled (is that a word?)..so it could be that. Honestly, I have no idea BUT at least the bounce up is still not significant and the floor is now 224 and the ceiling is 225.2. Now, if tomorrow's weigh in shows another increase, then I would be begin to ruminate over what it is that is causing the bounce.
Some thoughts:
1)
Me not Them: Too many times we try and emulate others, follow what they say and what they do. We ask ourselves "what is wrong with me?" or "why can't I have a body like XXX?". I think we need to change our focus. Forget them, focus on you. Be happy with you. Envy of how someone else looks is only going to set you back. Concentrate on what you like about yourself and work on what you don't like, but be yourself, don't model yourself after another person's physical appearance. You are unique and special, that is what I always think and it helps me become centered.
2)
Temptation - As I walk to and from the subway stop near my home, the waft of freshly baked pastries fill the air. The sweet scent is so tempting but I have kept walking since I started this diet. As I smell the scent I start to calculate in my mind what % of my caloric intake would be absorbed by that indulgence. That act of reflection saves me from going in and buying a pastry. I cannot deny that I am tempted from time to time, however, when it gets tough I just remind myself of my goal. I am human and that temptation will always be there but if you want something badly enough you can just ignore the temptations.
