I was up a pound today but I'm not stressed about it. The scale fluctuates for its own reasons that are beyond my comprehension. I've decided to just take a break from weighing in each day. Maybe I'll weigh in come Christmas to see if I make it to my goal of being below 220? Or maybe I'll be too curious? We'll see. Meanwhile, I renewed my gym membership yesterday. It was due to expire at the end of the month and I haven't been going-at all-since October. I've been busy with hiking, yoga, and doing Essentrics work outs at home but I KNOW that muscle mass is the only thing that is effective at burning off excess insulin and fat. The less insulin floating around my blood stream the less fat I will be storing so it's time to start the weight training again. Now to find the time to fit it in.

I'm also a person that weighs herself daily but I find that it drives me a little bit nuts. I'm trying to go a few days without weighing in ... trying to shift my focus to other important things like how I feel, and how my clothes fit. Good for you for renewing your gym membership - weight training FTW :)

U-Fit here you come. Maybe we can go together some Sundays so I can get some rowing in. I'll treat you to lunch at Veggie Village afterwards :-)

selbygirl6 you are so wise not to think much of a little aberration in the scale and instead focus on hiking, yoga and workouts. the more I think about exercise/activities, the less I think about food and the number on the scale
