Yep just as I suspected.. My lab results came back yesterday. Every. single. thing. was normal except for my 🤬cholesterol levels. They both were high.🤦♀️ I told my dr that I was doing so well with my diet while working. As soon as summer came, I started eating worse. So hopefully I won’t necessarily have to go on meds right now, and get a recheck in a few months or whatever. Although, I’m sure it’s genetic.🙄

I assume it’s in your family? That’s a bummer. It’s in mine too but has never affected me ‘yet.’ Hope it stays that way. Work on it though. Not everyone gets the genes. xo 🙏🏻

Wifey, yes unfortunately it is. I will work on it. Unfortunately, it seems I’m likely to have it since I have everything else from my dad’s side of the family. It is him and was his mom and her sisters that have/ had it. I feel like I’m doomed. But not giving up yet.

That’s rough. My grandmother starved herself to her grave almost. Chronically high. No matter what. So live sensibly and eat well even if genetic because starving is never the answer for anything. Take care of yourself girlie. xoxo

Oh that’s sad. I will do what I can, and hope for the best. I can assure you that this girl will not starve!😅 I refuse to.

There's definitely a genetic component to these things. I have some risks for heart disease and stroke that run in my family. It's always good to be aware, do as much as you can with lifestyle changes, but be open to medication if that's what's needed

It could be your diet if you are low carb. Sometimes your cholesterol will be elevated but it is because you have the good kind of fluffy particles and not the bad kind so it's important to break that down.

I don't think your change in food over juat afew weeks would make that drastic of a difference but you will figure it out 😁

Morticia -- unfortunately, the good fluffy particles thing is a myth. LDL is LDL. Now they're saying apoB is the best measure, but doctors don't always test for it
