Spaghetti With Turkey Meat Sauce
A low fat healthy spaghetti alternative using turkey.
Ingredients
Directions
- Coat large skillet with nonstick spray. Preheat over high heat.
- Add turkey and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Drain and discard fat.
- Stir in tomatoes with juice, green pepper, onion, garlic, oregano, and black pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove cover and simmer for added 15 minutes. (For creamier sauce, give sauce a whirl in blender or food processor.)
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in unsalted water. Drain well.
- Serve sauce over spaghetti.

this sounds very good. however, i would suggest a change from the regular spaghetti which is high in carbs, to dreamfields pasta. it is usually found at kroger stores and sometimes at foodcity stores. it comes in a black box. per serving, your body gets only five grams of carbs. i have exchanged this pasta for the regular kind for my family and they cannot tell the difference.

Pasta during induction, even dreamfields pasta is the road to failure.

Not everyone is on a zero-carbs diet :)
I love making sauce with turkey meat instead of beef! Much healthier. I also added spinach and used whole wheat pasta instead of white. Nice addition!
