Crunchy chips that are great as a snack or tossed into a salad for a little extra crunch.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat an 8" sauté pan over medium heat.
- Sprinkle half the cheese evenly in the pan forming a "pancake".
- Leave the "pancake" 2 to 3 minutes until melted and flip with a spatula.
- Brown the second side.
- Remove from pan to cutting board.
- While still warm cut into triangles with a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
- Repeat with remaining cheese.

This is a wonderful snack for all 3 Phases of the South Beach Diet. I also highly recommend sprinkling these "chips" over a salad if you're missing croutons.

when I used to do Atkins I did this with all kinds of cheese, yummy in taco salad, etc, on you on a diet, suppose we could use low fat cheddar cheese what does anyone think

These are great for the Atkins Diet, and you can also cut American cheese in fourths and then heat in microwave...and they are also good! Thanks

These are great! I've been making them for years. I'll have with hummus or salsa. My favorite is to top with taco ground beef, salsa, guacamole and non fat sour cream. Yummy NACHOS! I use non fat cheese and pan spray.

Allow me to clarify the ingredients -- I think they mean shredded parm. I tried it with the grated parm and got nothing but brown powder. Now I have a Costco sized tub of grated parm . . .
