Lemon Garlic Green Beans

Green beans with a buttery and spicy lemon garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Place beans in a steamer basket.
  2. Steam for 7 to 10 minutes our until beans are crisp-tender.
  3. Remove beans from the steamer and place in a serving bowl.
  4. Combine garlic, butter, lemon juice, blending well.
  5. Add garlic mixture, salt, pepper, and hot sauce to green beans, tossing to mix.
  6. Makes six 2/3 cup servings. Enjoy.

I added lemon zest for more lemony taste & used 1 Tbs olive oil instead of butter. This was so good I tried it with broccoli too. Both were even more sensational the next day.

I looooove these. I used canned green beans, and decided that next time I make them, I'll let them soak in the mixture before serving.
