A complete meal that's very tasty and filling. This could become a new "comfort food."
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- Brown ground turkey in skillet and drain off fat.
- Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and onions to skillet, and combine with the ground turkey. Simmer for 15 minutes on medium-low heat.
- Peel and cut zucchini into small squares. Place the zucchini in the bottom of a 9x13" pan. Cover the zucchini with the meat mixture.
- In a mixing bowl mix the cream cheese and sour cream. Spread on top of the meat mixture.
- Cover with the shredded cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 °F for 30 minutes.
- Optional - place under broiler for 2 minutes to brown the cheese. Watch closely so as not to burn.
- From the Low Carb Creations cook book Vol 2.

Was a waste of time and money. Did not appeal to me at all. Maybe I am just not big on the ground turkey. Might try another time with Beef.

my family loved it... I made it with 3 lbs of turkey because I have to feed my husband, my 17 year old son and my brother who currently resides with us. It's not easy filling up "men". It was amazing - just enough left over for my lunch tomorrow... :-)
