Gingerbread Cake II

A lighter alternative to heavy holiday desserts.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Spray glass 9 x 13" pan with cooking spray.
  2. Pour applesauce, molasses and oil into large mixing bowl. Add eggs and stir well.
  3. Blend remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Add dry ingredients to applesauce mixture, stir well.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool pan on a wire rack, approximately 20 minutes.
