A tasty, light yet filling soup that matches a low carb diet.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat the chicken broth to boiling, either on the stove or in the microwave.
- Briskly stir in the egg (which you pre-stirred already) so that it forms long tendrils in the soup.
- Sprinkle on the white pepper and chives.
- Note: that since you aren't using cornstarch, this isn't as thick as the kind you get in Chinese restaurants. It's still tasty!

I forgot to add the chives and it was still delicious. Oh well, just less carbs. The white pepper really made a difference for me, loved it.

This was very good. I used two eggs instead of one and it made it thicker.

Very good, but needs a little salt.

Very good. I used green onion instead of chives and added a sprinkle of xanthan gum at the end to get that authentic, slight thickness.
