An appetizing salad of mixed greens with crab and avocado in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
Directions
- Drain the tinned crab and place in a bowl.
- Chop up tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro and avocado and add to the bowl, and squeeze the lime into the mixture.
- Add the red onion, yogurt and mayonnaise, and the cayenne, salt and pepper and mix it all together.
- Serve with the salad leaves. You could top with some pine nuts if you're feeling artistic.
- Note: based on a recipe from the South Beach diet.

This was a great salad! Just watch how much cayenne you put! I skipped the salt and the pepper because the herbs are a wonderful accent to the crab! It's a good thing my family likes it hot!

This was so yum, but I'm very appreciative to blueicole for the pepper warning! A tsp of cayenne would have been far too hot. I cut it down to about a quarter of a teaspoon and found it to be perfect.I'll definitely be doing this one again!

This was by far the best salad I have ever had. I wanted to eat the whole bowl. Instead of mayonaise I used greek nonfat plain yogurt to cut the calories. I will definitely be making this salad often and using it to impress house guests. LOL!

I added red bell peppers, diced jalapenos and celery and did away with the yogurt. If you like spicy food, the jalapenos add a nice kick
