Catalan Beef Stew
Easy and unique stew with a surprise ingredient - chocolate!
Ingredients
Directions
- Chop garlic, onion, tomato, carrot, celery and leek.
- Heat olive oil in pot, add meat and brown for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the flour and stir. Add the wine and stir. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the garlic, onion, tomato, carrot, celery and leek to the pot, stir.
- Add the cocoa powder. Add beef stock, stir and bring to a boil.
- Partially cover and lower to simmer.
- Allow to simmer for one hour to an hour and a half until the meat is tender.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
