Apple and Pear Compote

Everyone loves this simple compote recipe, from the oldies to the grandchildren.

Directions

  1. Peel the apples and pears.
  2. Add a very small amount of water to a saucepan.
  3. Cook in saucepan till both fruits are soft
  4. Puree till smooth.
  5. Serve chilled.

This looks good, but it's more of a "sauce" than a compote--compotes usually have pieces of fruit in a syrup.

You could also add some cinnamon. Sounds great!
