Some Help Please
Hi Nowaal. Congratulations!I never look at what is recomended in calories to eat because it's different from person to person. When I joined the FatSecret I realized that if I eat more than 1300 calories I will gain weight. I run (training for a marathon) and even with all the runing if I eat more than 1300 I gain. With all that said, I make sure my calories come from lots of fresh veggies and no starches if possible after lunch. That helps me. My metabolism is very slow so I weigh myself every day. As soon as I gain I cut down my calories for that day so I can go back to my desired weight.
I put in just the exercise that I do for the day. Sometimes I put in the driving if I drive a lot but other than that no.
Good luck on maintaining your weight off. I have 7lb to loose to reach my goal.

I've been lurking, but now I'd like to ask for some advice
It also depends on age. I know that once I hit the 30 than the 40s it seems harder to loose weight. I did some searching and it looks like as we age we do not need to eat as many calories to keep us going. So you might want to cut out grains after 12pm and keep log in everything you eat. Try one week to eat a set amount of calories then the next week less or so one. This is how I found out that for me to loose those unwanted weight I have to eat a lot less than I thought, as long as my calories came from lots of greens and protein. Nothing processed. Oh and treat yourself to somthing once a week.
