Well I started cutting weight following my GF making her target weight at WW. So I was starting to follow WW since I had learned enough about it while my GF was on it.

Ideally I would like to make 190. All the tables say my ideal weight should be 180. The 180 ship sailed a long time ago and it ain'ta never gonna see no port again. In college, working out, eating fairly well and everything else I could do I probably dropped below 200 and maybe when I spent 6 months in California and was very depressed I might have gotten to 190.

I figure it will be fairly easy to drop the first 20. I started out a little over 240 but I don't remember the date. It was within October 09 though. I dropped about 10#s in around 2 weeks.

I signed up for one of the challenges. New Year, New You...... It calls for 10% weight reduction by New Years. Since I'm currently at 230, probably a little less by weigh in Sunday, I figure I will have to drop 20-23#s. That will put me under 210, maybe even closer to 200. Thats a pretty good way to start a new year.

So some intermediate targets

What is the deal with self image??
I can't figure out if I'm delusional, blind, confident, or an idiot!!

What makes you think any of the above. Photos are notoriously inaccurate. I've never liked myself in a picture. I believe the only way you can use a picture for reference is if you repeatedly take the same picture with the same camera in the same place (both you and the camera) and compare pictures over time. Otherwise you have no frame of reference.

If you are working on weight you are overly conscious and you were looking for flaws. When you go looking you tend to find. I think they call it a self-fulfilling-prophecy.

Anyway that is my 2 cents. Another dollar and you can get a cup of coffee anywhere but starbucks. Smile
