NEED TIPS - Not sure what I am doing wrong!!! Slowed down metabolism maybe???
Hello all!
I would definitely appreciate some tips and/or advice. I think my metabolism has hit an all time low, no matter what I do, I just stay at the same weight.
I keep a food and exercise journal, and I've really been good about updating anything and everything. And when I say everything I mean everything. I started about a month ago, prior to that, i really tried to keep track of everything mentally, but didn't want to kid myself, so I joined here.
Anyways, I am at 150 lbs and would like to be at 135, or even 140. I consume approximately 1,300 calories per day (give or take, depending). But never more than 1,500. I drink approximately 60-65 fl oz. of water per day. I exercise every other day or every 2 days, doing 45-60 mins of cardio (i.e. hiking, running, swimming, etc.)
I know I am not pushing my body too hard because I have been at my goal weight before and probably had a worse diet and exercise routine than I currently do.
My boyfriend says I am getting old and that the body naturally gains weight with time, he is just teasing, but I am starting to fear that it's true.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks? I've been looking into doing some sort of jump start (i.e. shakes or a cleanse). But, I am a pretty regular eater and so I'm nervous my body wouldn't be able to handle shaking things up like that.
