I joined this site in January of this year. I started WW in October of 2006. A friend and I have been attending meetings regularly.

I had already lost 15 lbs before finding this site.

Weight loss for me at the beginning was slow, but steady and I was fine with that. I had reached my halfway goal by the summer of 2007. However, since then, I have been gaining again.

I decided to sit this session of WW out as I need to re-group. My friend and I have both hit a huge plateau and nothing has been happening as far as weight loss. We are still both following the plan, but hope to be able to continue it on our own.

I really enjoy reading the journals on Fatsecret as they are encouraging and help to motivate me.

How often do you weigh yourself?
I weigh in daily ... I need to know where I am.. I don't freak out if I have gained... I expect a lb or 2 fluctuation per day - based on what I ate (or drank) the day before... I would freak out though if I weighed in once a week or so and then gained 5 lbs... especially if I thought I was doing okay with my eating.... weighing in more than once a day could be frustrating.. it seems that if you eat 100 calories more a day it shows up right away.. but you can release a gallon of water or what seems like a lb of waste... but it doesn't show up..

Today is not a good weigh in - I woke up bloated and my hands were swollen.. not sure if it is the weather.. it is horribly windy and has been raining all day... so here I go..

weight for Week 5, 144.8 up .8 from last week..

I will be on vacation from June 30 to July 11.. I will try to log in and see what is happening..
