who needs a buddy? i do!
I'll be your buddy also! I have 2 bulging discs and have been having trouble getting back into exercising as I have to modify everything I do. Have just started back on the exercising a little. I was unable to do anything for the past 5 weeks. Hoping everything goes well with your doc tomorrow!

What was the 'lightbulb moment' that made you realize you needed to lose weight?
There were a few "lightbulb moments". The first one is when my son had surgery at the hospital where I worked up until a couple of years ago. I wanted so badly to go to the unit where I worked to see my friends etc, but I was so ashamed at all of the weight I had put on I just couldn't do it.
The second was kind of funny. On FB there are questions that come up and one of the questions that someone had answered about me was, does she have a nice body? The answer was "no". I could find out who it was, but I would have to answer questions and I really didn't want to know. I used to be in shape. 5 children later...I think I turned into goo! Gaining more weight after my last child was born.
The third and final moment was not being able to fit into my "fat jeans" anymore. I vowed I would NOT by another pair of fat jeans and would wear sweatpants until the weight was off.
I started watching my diet, cut out alot of sugar, and am working out with P90x daily. I'm on my third week of it. I'm already feeling stronger. I'm focused as it will be summer soon and I want to feel good about myself. My oldest child is 23 and my youngest is 2-1/2. I am a grandma to a wonderful little boy who will be 4 soon! I want to enjoy my life and set a good example for my children. And I want to keep up to them and play and not feel like I'm not able too.
I believe this site really has changed my life as far as keeping me accountable! Good luck to everyone!
