Hey Sonoma Dieters
Hi! I'd start checking for posts if people would like to be more active online. I'm finding I could use a littel extra support during this Holiday time. Lots of different kinds of food out in the offices! I find I have to have a protein basaed snack available DAILY right now. A few nuts, cottage cheese with something, hummus with veggies all work for me.
I've lost 30 pounds and am beginning to really reap some rewards and I certainly don't want to blow it now!! Bad Grin

1st day!
Smile I'm excited to have found a plan (Sonoma Diet) I believe I can live with! I've wanted one that emphasized a healthy kind of eating and that would help me get back to doing more interesting cooking like I used to do.

I live alone but have lots of family close by. Grandma to 8. I have a 1-1/2 yo cockapoo named Charley who helps me get out the door for 2 miles of walking every morning. I walk about a mile during work and then do another 2 miles at the end of the day. I use a pedometer and make 10,000 steps my minimum. I want to add some weight training this summer.

What is the most affordable diet?
Sonoma Diet-- like the Mediterranean food life style. 3 phases (initial 10 day, losing weight phase, maintenance - "the rest of your life"; No meetings, no special food, GREAT recipes. The focus is on fresh veggies & fruits, whole grains, olive oil, lean meats etc. I like the fact that you use plate sizes, portion sizes and the food lists and don't count points or calories. I'm just starting, but I have some friends who are using this program to maintain their weight. Has the flexibility I wanted. I happen to live in Sonoma County, CA - wine country where this was developed so that's made it very appealing to me. Check it out.

Starting Sonoma Diet on Monday
I'm going shopping tonight and starting Sonoma Diet tomorrow, July 10. I'm hoping those of you who started in April, May & June are still around and making progress! Tonight I'm going to put away my bigger plates and bowls. I know I need to make the change to smaller portions of food.
