carb counting/ low carb diet, big and tall guys
My wife is diabetic and has to do the carb counting. Her doctors want her to eat around 40g carbs per meal, and now she thinks that I need to do that too. I told her that I don't think I'd be able to function on the amount of food she eats in a day. I'm 6'-3" and I weigh 270, and I eat 2,000-3,000 calories a day. I have nothing against changing my eating habits, and I know that I need to, but I'm pretty sure following her diet exactly won't work for me

Mountain Bike Race
So I am need to get ready for a mountain bike race on September 8. I'm entering in the beginners class, it's a 7 mile single lap. Any one have any tips on how to prepare?

am i retaining water
Since ive been tracking my weight ive been noticing some wild weight changes. For example last week, july 8, i weighed my self in at 277, then tonight i weighed my self after the work out and it was at 297. I know i didnt eat the best this past week, but it shouldnt make tgat much of a difference. Now on tye oppisite side i have noticedafter a reakly good work out a five to ten pound loss.

Changing my goal settings
I'm having a hard time losing the weight that I want, and the calorie setting that I have may be to high for the level of activities that do. I think I have it set for active (3,000 calories) but since I work in an office at a desk I would like to dial it down. Where do I go to change this?
