Hi everyone,

Where to start.... Well, I've come to realize I'm a permanent fixture on FS. I was quite successful a few years ago in taking off weight, but like a lot of people, I've managed to put it all back on. I've come to realize that at my age, I need to focus on my overall health. At the moment, that includes getting active, eating healthy, reducing stress, taking off a few pounds and keeping it off.

So, here we are...

1. This is about choices and trying to do better.
2. I HAVE to exercise. My focus is on cardio, flexibility and weight training.
3. I am not on a diet. I eat what I want, however, my aim is to eat more natural food and in MODERATION.
4. I will occasionally slip... I have to learn how to consciously recognize that I am making bad choices.
5. This is my lifestyle!!

So, feel to say Hi! I don't have a lot of time to spend I here but it will take the time to help if you need it.

Cheers,
Tammy

Energy drink side effects?
CH002591... I have to agree on the "hangover" theory! I had a rough day yesterday but we're both feeling much better today.

apatrick1... not sure I'd advise keeping at it... but after yesterday, I definately wouldn't want to be facing the eventual crash and withdrawal that drinking 2 a day will bring.

Cheers!

Energy drink side effects?
The HB and I have been eating fairly healthy for some time now. Very little sugar/sweets and reduced caffeine intake. This past Friday night we were up a little later than usual and on Saturday we found ourselves a little dragged out. To combat this, we decided to stop and grab a coffee but our regular coffee shop was closed for maintenance so we popped into the service station next door and grabbed a couple Monster, energy drinks. It did the trick, but two days later we're not sure if we're coming down with something or suffering from a post energy drink hangover. We don't feel sick.... but some of the "side effects" we're noticing include, irritability, light headed, dizzy, diarrhea, difficulty sleepy, lack of taste and being hungry (although we've been eating normally). Has anyone ever experienced such side effects? Or do you think we're just coming down with a summer bug?

it takes so long
Unfortunately, it doesn't go on overnight... and it can't come off overnight! Slow and steady wins this race!!

Exercise Tips for Toning?
I'm in the same boat... it depends on what you want to tone up. I tried doing it on my own but there are so many diferent exercises and routine's out there, that it's hard to know what to do and where to start. My plan is to start seeing a personal trainer in a few weeks. There is a bit of a cost to it, but I figure I'll start with 10 sessions or so. That should be enough to get me into a routine that's been designed for me and my goals and help me with the proper execution of the workout.

wii fit - does it work
I agree with Hoser... it depends on your exercise level. It is a "light" workout but it does depend on how hard you work at it and how often.

In the end, nothing is a waste of money, IF you use it!
