Exercise vs calories
Hi Rita,
It depends on your goals, but if you are trying to lose weight, you want to make sure your exercise calories are always greater than your food calories. I have been using this app for at least 10 years now and I know it is not super accurate, but it's a good way to get an idea. I always make sure my exercise is greater than my food and I stay at the same weight. Just try to be as accurate as you can and always err on the side against yourself (that is, overestimate your food and underestimate your exercise).

Now that the gyms have closed...
I must say that after a week out of the gym my joints feel much better. I have gone from low-rep/high-weight to high-rep/body weight. 300 pushups, 100 handstand pushups, 100 pullups, etc. It's a workout. I'm curious to see how much if any my physique will change.

Now that the gyms have closed...
I am a total gym rat and I am very depressed that the gyms have closed due to Captain Trips.

I'm not sure if my home workout will maintain my physique, but it may be a refreshing change and give my joints a chance to heal.

Is anyone else sad to be forced out of the gym?

Time to chime in
I've been using this site for at least 10 years and it has made all of the difference in my health. Keeping track of what you eat is by far the most important part of your regimin. Even more so than exercise. I have always worked out hard, but until I realized what I needed to eat, I never looked the way I wanted to look. I have gotten to the point where I have figured out what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat. Sure, it gets boring, but a lot of those cheat foods don't even taste that good anymore and when I do eat them, they don't really give me any pleasure. I turned 50 back in December and I am still at about 10% body fat. I love the gym and if my joints weren't so bad I would work even harder. My only regret is that I didn't treat myself like this when I was young as I could have really been a true athlete.
