My name is Tessa

I am 22 years Old and have never tried eating right or exercising in my life! I'm also a notorious quitter when the goings get rough :(

in October 09 my boyfriend (soul mate, partner, love of my life i don't know boyfriend sounds to typical) of 4 years proposed! and became my fiancee!!! Yay :)

I'm planning a whole interfaith, semi traditional, ultra fun, ultra us, ultra modern wedding all by myself, and I have my heart set on one dress out of thousands i haven't found one that compares, thing is it won't look so good with the extra flab so I decided to work out and try to eat right, I'm not aiming for skinny, just not as fat if that makes sense.

Perfect wedding dress aside I would love to loose some weight since my fashion sense has always been based on what is just stunning I'll look even better in my other dresses to! I wouldn't mind the being healthy side effect that comes with it either :)

Problem is I've suffered severe hip back neck and shoulder pain since I was young so I've never really been active ever .... and I'm a glutton for good food I've lived my life by eat what you like and like what you eat and it's kept me pretty happy!

Getting into exercise was not to difficult, I'm doing like 90% fun stuff since I decided as a side effect this will help improve my stamina so I don't run out of breath when dancing, or so that I can run and catch that bus or train!

Eating right is a different story, not only do i LOVE good food but I'm also not financially stable which makes eating healthy quite the challenge but I'll keep on trying!

I got till Jan 2011 to be in a good shape for my dress fittings and a lifetime to stay healthy ahead of me.

Besides that I love reading, learning, my man, my cats, my mom, and my family and friends more than anything!

Indian Food at a restaurant
"The spinach one, it looks like it has hunks of tofu in it but it's cheese...blanking on the name"

that's pallak Paneer! And go with the vegetarian food, unlike most recipes at restaurants here indian vegetarian food is FILLING, DELICIOUS and healthy (try to avoid the creamy muglhai style food)!

DAL SOUP!!! help curb that hunger for when the creamy amazing stuff like butter chicken arrives

and yes sadly avoid the naan, though thats one of the best part imo.

eat the pickled carrot they generally serve in the beginning, i was told in india that it helped spike your metabolic rate right before you start eating.
Have rita on the side (plain curd yogurt and cucumber mix) it also helps cool everything down so you can order the spicier stuff!

umm getting long, shorten this up ... don't order anything white unless the white is cottage cheese or yogurt .... aim for things that aren't super creamy, go as spicy as possible, Try the Vegetarian food!

I dunno LOTS of food is good for especially indian food, if it's a "real" indian restaurant, ask, they will know what's good for you off thier menu.

Best place for exercise
Allo!!

I'm from Montreal and I hate forking over money for anything so no car or public transit in the summer, I always loose tons of weight from walking and biking on alll the hills! Quebec city is beautiful though Smile

I also rely more on exercise than diet i can if i get carried away exercises for HOURS but no matter what i do I always fail at my food goals!

Take Care and Stay Healthy!
