I have always battled weight. As a kid, I was the "fat one". Finally, at 14 my mom and I joined Weight Watchers and I lost 50 lbs, it was the first time someone told me about portions and how to split up what I ate (4 breads, 2 fats, etc...) I also started exercising and loved it. However, even with exercise, I have let myself slip.
My fiance is a chef and when he cooks for us, he cooks huge portions. He is also 6'5 and about 120 lbs heavier than me, but when he cooks I always want as much as he is having.
I am getting married in October and would love to look my best on my wedding day and feel comfortable in my own body.

Kenpo X: So happy I cried.
OMG, I totally thought I was alone feeling the urge to cry immediately after or during an intense workout! I used to walk to my car bawling after an intense spin class or while training for a marathon, I would just like hyperventilate-cry while I finished a long run. I thought it was because I grew up as the fat kid and I would remember the torment I got in PE class and the ridicule from others. After I completed my marathon, I was a total emotional, ecstatic, crying mess and my mom mentioned thats how she felt after giving birth. Yay for endorphins!

Hi Verse! I am still learning this site! Smile
I am doing the same as you scavid. I mean, 'eat less & move more' seems to be the thing that works, when you really do just that. Verse - you seem to be successful, any tips? Wink

Hi! Thanks for your message!Smile I did buy my dress already, I bought it off the rack and it is a bit too small - there are a couple of inches that don't zip. Eeeeek! The seamstress said she could take it out, but I would waaaay rather lose the weight.
Congrats on losing 4 pounds already, way to go! Which diet have you been following?
