Weigh-ins--- Accuracy?
These answers were great thanks guys. I didn't realize it was actually possible to lose 4 lbs of fat in 2-3 days that's interesting. And yeah, I definitely don't look at my weight as the only marker since I strength train a bit as well and it's my understanding that muscle weighs more than fat. I just figured I wanted to be as accurate as possible. I like the method of only inputting the lowest number out of a set of weigh ins.
Also, that's weird about the wii fit board's proximity to the tv causing issues. Wonder how that works!
Thanks again for the answers I just almost felt like I was fibbing weighing in the other day and getting a 252 only 2-3 days later. Glad to know that wouldn't be that surprising anyway!
Also, I think after reading these answers I'm going to switch my weigh in from late night to early am. Thanks guys!

Weigh-ins--- Accuracy?
The reason I ask is I weighed in Sunday and was 256 and then 2 days or so later I weighed in again and weighed 252. It would be exciting to have lost 4lbs already but I know that's nearly impossible so I don't know how much I can trust my wii...

looking fatter...

Another thing that occurs when you're heavy is that you look in the mirror and see something much thinner than what's there- so maybe you're truly seeing yourself now where you weren't before? Either way, its an example of how our minds can distort reality.
Another thing I've noticed is that when you're heavier, you don't see multiple fat rolls- its all one big mass. But as you lose weight, its distributed in more smaller rolls, but obviously, there is much less fat there than before. Overall, there are some weeks when I look in the mirror and think there's no way I lost weight, since I can't see it- but then the scale or my measurements will tell me something totally different. Stick with the concrete measures where you can to judge your progress. I think having a couple good picks of yourself nearby is also a great idea.
I think this is what was happening to me previously. I have just recently started this carb thing I'm working with now but previously I started exercising a bit more regularly and my mom and wife would tell me I looked thinner but I would look in the mirror and look fatter. I think what you're saying is true gnat because as soon as my body started shifting a little, it felt like I was bigger but everyone else said the opposite. Glad to have that explained...

Weigh-ins--- Accuracy?
Hey all, another question. I always weigh myself with the same device, my wii fit. However, my weight fluctuates so much throughout the day and day by day I don't know how to know that my weigh-ins are accurate. Should I just count on it being accurate if I always use the same device and at roughly the same time or is there a better way?
Thanks,
Alex
