I've always had a weight problem and at 13, I topped the scales at 220 pounds. At that time, I went on a crash diet and lost 70 pounds. Throughout my teenage years and early 20s, with a lot of work and staying with weight watchers, I kept that weight maintained until I started having children. I was able to again lose the weight but started having even more trouble (without changing my good eating habits) after the age of 35. Ups and downs and tests and trials have taken me to my current phase, age 53. THis is the most difficult time I've ever faced. No matter how much I exercise, how few calories (or points) I consume, the weight will not budge and in fact still keeps creeping up on the scale. I'm now trying to stay within my 21 weight watchers points each day, incorporating low glycemic index choices. I've got to keep trying; I don't want to see 220 pounds again.
