performance: losing 1.3 lb a week

Hi, I'm 29 and will turn 30 next month, I've tried the SBD before and lost 2 1/2 stone but have not had much luck this time round, I've been following SBD again for 2 weeks, first week I lost 4 pounds but last week put on 1lb again this is despite not cheating AND going to the gym 3 times!!! hoping this will maybe help me somehow or at least remotivate me as went on a 3 day binge after my last weigh-in as got so disheartened, starting again tomorrow though :-)

hypnosis
hi im on this site to try and lose weight but really struggling as i just cant seem to break my emotional attachment with food, i use it as a reward, if im feeling down, or even just bored. i seem to take one step forwards and then two backwards and cant seem to stick to this diet this time long-term. a friend suggested hypnosis not to lose weight as such as i still intend to go the gym etc but more to break the emotional attachment, its quite expensive and obviously no guarantee it will work but was just wondering if anyone else has tried it or knows of anyone who has tried it and what their results have been. im not looking on it as being an easy fix but just to break my emotional links with food? thanks

Vibrating Powerplates
Hi all, I've just joined a new gym and they have Powerplates, basically this is a giant machine with vibrating plates on which you do different exercises and it apparently works better because vibrations are going through your muscles??? Sounds too good to be true? I was thinking of supplementing my workout by using these instead but wondered if anyone else had used them and with what results? thanks

Any UK DVD recommendations?
Hi,

I have 2 Davina McCall DVDs and find both to be quite challenging but in particular her second one, it has 5 sections and I still struggle with the Cardio one even after doing it for a month. Plus I think Davina is more like a "normal" person who struggles with weight like the rest of us so is quite watchable. Play.com also have reviews of DVDs so you can see what others think of them before you buy! Hope this helps and good luck Surprised x
