I am a 31 year old wife and mother .I was thin all through high school and then college came and I totally let myself go. I had my daughter at 20 and gained over 30 pounds and never lost it , plus gained :(. I have struggled with my weight for the last 10years, I would be motivated then lose , then give up, you know how the story goes. I always thought when I got married I would be so motivated and lose all the weight but that didnt happen. On my wedding day 3/23/13 I weighed about 268.I went thru a severe depression after my wedding (i miscarried @13 weeks)3 days before the wedding. On May 24 2014, weighing 281 pounds I decided to do something different. I desperately want another baby and the weight and my PCOS wasnt helping.I went to the doctor and was prescribed fluxoteine(generic for prozac)its not for everyone but it works for me. My moods got better , I was happier , and I had a very pleasant side effect . My appetitie went away ,and so did my sweet tooth. My comfort foods no longer brought me any satisfaction and I stayed away from them with no problem. I lost 11 pounds after the 1st month. It was amazing , and I am in no way advocating them as a weightloss tool, im jst saying that my change in mood really helped me .I always used food as vice and I no longer needed it. So , 11 lbs is great and I felt so good I decided to take it further. I went to my pcp for a physical and after giving me a long list of things wrong or what could go wrong if I didnt lose weight , she prescribed me phentermine. I have never been good about taking pills on a regular basis but I been have been good about these. I had no real side effects except dry mouth, which encourages me to drink water. I started the pills on 7/4 and I weighed 267. Today is 7/22 and I weight 258. 9 more pounds down ,but let me not forget that I am also back in the gym with a trainer 2x a week and I workout at home. I am very excited about this journey and I hope to have great success and you all as well.
