Overdue Post
Sorry that this post is so long out from my last one but between the holidays, going on vacation, and catching up on work after getting back from vacation I have been so busy that I've felt the need for a clone machine!! Why is it that no one else does your work while you're gone??? I am continuing my training on the treadmill with a small tweak from only interval running to two days of intervals and three days of steady jogs. I have registered for my very first 5K to be ran at the end of April and I received advice from a fellow running buddy at the gym that the best way to train for this is to start with at least two steady jogs/runs per week so that I can hold my stamina better. I also can't believe it considering I was on vacation but I have actually dropped another 6 pounds since my last post! I never would have thought that just picking up a different exercise would make me feel this good or actually give me these results!! Hope everyone else is doing just as good and remember that we're all gearing towards a lifestyle change and not a hobby!

Workout changeup
Recently I actually started to get into using the treadmill which is very out of character for me because I have never liked that particular machine!! I have started working out with someone else though and he's a runner and I wanted to give it another shot so that we could do part of our workouts together. After only three weeks of doing the interval training on it I have raised to a sprint speed of 7 from 5.5!! I have also noticed some thinning out of my abdominal area from combining treadmill intervals with my Zumba and Buti Yoga classes! I may have finally found something that can bust me out of another slump; Buti is giving me muscles from supporting my own body weight and running is thinning out everything else.

Daily Plans
Hello all,

Sounds like everyone is working hard and trying to follow their eating plans. I took the night off last night for dinner and drinks with a friend so tonight I'm dragging the same friend to BUTI yoga! She's never tried it before so I'm hoping she likes it! I've been doing it for nearly two months and there are still things that I can't do. However, when you get the courage to try something new and stick with it, you feel so good about yourself when you get to the point where you can feel the changes in your body. It's also been a couple of weeks since I've had Chinese food which is one of my biggest weaknesses and since it's been like that, I don't get the cravings for it near as often or eat near as much when I fulfill the craving.

Clean eating combined with Flat Belly
I have tried so many fads and cleanses over the years, each designed with a fast weight drop and a certain diet for the rest of all time. These are so hard and so unrealistic, especially for me because I can't feel like I'm restricted in any way. A lot of what I've been researching lately is the Eat Clean and Flat Belly combination which basically combines eating food with less than 5 ingredients and knowing the origination of what you're eating with foods that help control or reduce bloat. I have always had a problem with bloat and keeping off the water weight which comes from heavy bloat. I was able to get rid of most of it by ditching soda, drinking more water, and going on a 4 day bloat cleanse which just about killed me because it meant going 4 days with no coffee Smile Now I'm eating much better than I have in years and I'm trying new things in the gym. I realize everyone hates that 3 letter curse word and believe me I'm no different. What you want to focus on is what you like to do; don't force yourself to do something you know you hate just because someone said it's good for you. I absolutely HATE treadmills and I'd rather be publicly beaten than get on one; I probably only spend about 20 minutes per week on one and I never full out run on them, I only walk and that's in order to build leg muscles. Finding out your favorite physical hobby or interest is one of the biggest keys so you can turn it into your workout without really feeling that you're working out!
