I'm 48 from Central Virginia. I'm getting back into running and trying to lose about 10 pounds. It doesn't sound like much and my coworkers call me crasy, but I know my previous running weight was in the low 150's so 160 shouldn't be a problem but it is. I've been actively trying to lose weight for the past three months with very minimal success. I've only lost about 5 pounds.

Is the weather an important factor?
As a runner, I can tell you that running in the heat is much more difficult on your body. Your body has a much harder time cooling it's self off. It is very possible that the extra stress of running in the heat burns more calories however, I suspect that the chemical processes of fat burning are disrupted from this stress running in the heat since since the body will tend to redirect water toward the production of sweat as opposed to burning fat in the liver. 55 degrees is about the perfect running temperature.

The heat generated while running definitely causes no "extra" calories to be burned to keep the body warm while running in the cold. Over dressing is my biggest problem when preparing to head out for a run when it is below 30 degrees.

I'm stuck!
The three most important things to losing weight are, Water, water and water. If you are not taking in enough water, your body can not process your fat into energy to make up for the deficit in calories.

I don't understand the activity log..
I'm looking for a way to delete a previously entered excersize. Lets say I planned on running this evening so I enter my planned workout then find out that I have to work late so I cann't run. How do I go back and delete the shedule run?
