UPDATED Nov 2020: I'm a divorced baby-boomer still trying to eek out a living, but enjoying life a little more these past few years. :)

One trend I see though, is I get one size bigger every year! Yet, I've stayed pretty constant in my weight, and even lost a few pounds in 2016 due to not eating for a week from the flu! :D

It's hard when you're on your own trying to keep life together and eat right. I don't eat "bad", I eat good foods, just not enough vegies. And the activity level has drastically decreased, along with my energy level. A catch 22.

I found I actually like cooking and baking, after spending time in Home Health Care baking and cooking for clients. But I'd rather do it for more than just me :), hence the 'quick & easy' requirement for mealtime! :D

But you know, I tried that "Hello Fresh" meal service! For one person, it's great and actually cost effective, ESPECIALLY DURING THESE TIMES! Even the "Pronto Prep (30 minute) meal plan was actually pretty true even for me! And with less food waste! :D I think I'll try "Good Food" next, they have breakfast too :).

So, back at it... :D

Wow, I was just looking for a buddy also, and ran across these posts under Atkins! Awesome. I just signed up earlier this month, but my issues are persistence and procrastination. My downfall is bread & pasta, just because they are "easy" quick eats. Being single makes it harder. As a caregiver, I can make great meals for my clients, but in the essence of time, I'll be darned if I can make myself do it at home. As a rule, I don't eat processed foods, no pop, and very little sugar. I've changed the times I eat, but keep falling back into the same routine: AM coffee, no bkfst or not until 9-11, or have early lunch, which has been my biggest meal lately. Then I'm not hungry until my evening shift, so I eat when I get home after 8, then bed by midnight! Sad My thyroid seems to be non-functional, but lack of exercise is also the culprit. Doing it alone isn't helping. But I maintain hope in constantly starting again Smile. I like this site. Smile Thank you all for your posts here.
