I've been struggling with my weight since middle school. I think the only picture I have of me thin is when I started Kindergarten.
At my highest I got up to about 300lbs. Just before turning 30 I started taking exercise and nutrition seriously and was able to get down to 196lbs. While not thin I felt amazing. I had energy and I felt much better about my personal appearance.
Over the years as I've started to approach the 40 mark I let a lot slide. I gained back about 20lbs and was able to maintain that for awhile, and then gradually year by year I've added a few more. I used family obligations, work, and just about anything else I could think of as an excuse (looking at you beer).
So here I am making my stand again, with a renewed passion and looking to be held accountable and maybe help inspire some others along the way.
I've done this before, I can do it again, and so can you.
